In London, eco-activists poured paint over the US embassy after Trump’s election victory

British police have arrested two climate activists who splashed orange paint on part of the US embassy in London on Wednesday to protest Donald Trump’s victory in the presidential election.

As noted, two men aged 25 and 72, who are participants in the Just Stop Oil campaign, were arrested on suspicion of causing damage. Activists splashed orange paint on the wall of the embassy and posted a corresponding video on the Kh social network.

“Trump’s victory puts the lives of ordinary people everywhere at risk,” Just Stop Oil said.

Deputy Assistant Commissioner of Police Andy Valentine called the actions “vandalism masquerading as a protest”.

Activists of Just Stop Oil have repeatedly organized high-profile protests in Britain, including disrupting sports and theater events, as well as pouring soup over Van Gogh’s paintings.

Presidential elections were held in the USA on November 5. Donald Trump, the candidate of the Republican Party, who won the required number of electoral votes, wins them.
